THE PROGRAM

Day 1 Arrival Beijing
Days 2 to 4: Beijing
Day 5: Lhasa Arrival at Lhasa Airport. Reception and transfer (1h) to the hotel in Lhasa. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight at the Snow Heaven 4 * hotel.
Day 6: LhasaPrologue this morning 8.5 km from the monastery of Pabonka (3750 m) to that of Sera (3750 m). Passage by small monasteries and a hermitage (4150 m). Altitude difference: 650 m / 650m. In the afternoon, stroll to Barkhor and visit the Jokhang Monastery. Overnight at the Snow Heaven 4 * hotel.
Day 7: Lhasa - Langthang DewachenDiscover this morning of the Potala. 1h30 transfer to the village of Kamgyel Chol (3750 m), starting today's stage. 10 km to the village of Langthang Dewachen 4100 m. Altitude difference: 350 m / 0 m-. Accommodation in camp and / or homestay.
Day 8: Langthang Dewachen - Kangru 10 km of uphill climb to reach the Jeshul La pass (5200 m), followed by 6 km of descent to the monastery and village of Kangru (4500 m) . Altitude difference: 1250 m / 700 m. Accommodation at Kangru monastery and / or camp.
Day 9: Kangru - Chamda Departure from Kangru (4500 m) for the crossing of a first villagetibétain, then a climb (maximum altitude: 4700 m) on a mountain overlooking Lake Yamdrock. Continue along the deserts to the village of Chamda (4500 m). The stage of the day is about 16 km. Crossing the village to the campsite on the edge of Yamdrock Lake. Altitude difference: 650 m / 650 m-.
Day 10: Chamda - Gyantsé Departure from the camp for 4 km on road and meadows, before dismounting on a mountain, to follow the ridges. Descent to Karmaling bookshop that you will drive to the village of QuGo Chong Co. The stage of the day is about 20 km, with a maximum altitude of 4700 m. Altitude difference: 500 m / 500 m-. 4 to 5 hours from the afternoon to the town of Gyantsé, with a pass through the Karola pass (5050 m) with beautiful views of the glacier of the same name. Overnight at hotel Yéti 3 *.
Day 11: Gyantsé - Sakya Visit of the fortress and the old town of Gyantsé. 4 hours drive to Sakya, lunch en route. Discovery of the monastery of Sakya. Accommodation at the hotel Manasarovar 3 *.
Day 12: Sakya - Tsogo - TrelungFrom Sakya, 3h drive to the village of Tsogo (4300 m) .Departure for 4/5 km of flat then climb to a pass at 4970 m.Scent to the place of encampment in the big Delfung meadow. The stage of the day is about 14 km. Altitude difference: 750 m / 400 m-. Overnight in camp.
Day 13: Trelung - TsaDepart from Trelung camp through the priaire (2 km deplat), then climb by a pass at 5150 m. Descent to Tromen (3800 m) and continue for 5 km to Tsa (3800 m). The stage of the day is about 17 km. Altitude difference: 1200 m / 1900 m-. Overnight in camp.
Day 14: Tsa - Tashizom Step 35 km today to the village of Tashizom (4400 m) through Tibetan villages and beautiful gorges, following a track with little traffic. Gradients: 800 m / 200 m-. Accommodation in a guest house in the center of Tashizom village.
Day 15: Tashizom - Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp Transfer to the village of Ching Tsam (4600 m). Rise to a pass of 5200 m offering superb views of Cho Oyu mountain. Descent then you will take intermittently the paved road leading to the monastery of Rongbuk. Continue to Everest base camp (5200 m), the end point of the race. The stage of the day is about 22 km. Altitude difference: 1500 m / 900 m-. Return by bus to Rongbuk and accommodation in guest house.
Day 16: Rongbuk - Shigatsé Today, 6h drive from Rongbuk to Shigatse, 2nd largest city of Tibet. Stops on the way for great views of the chain of Everest. Overnight at hotel Manasarovar 3 *.
Day 17: Shigatsé - Lhasa Visit this morning of the important monastic complex of Tashilumpo. 5 to 6 hours drive back to Lhasa. Overnight at the Snow Heaven 4 * hotel.
Day 18: Lhasa Free day in Lhasa. Award ceremony before dinner. Overnight at the Snow Heaven 4 * hotel.
Day 19: Departure Lhasa Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Europe.
Day 20 Arrival Paris / Switzerland
